Soon after my Step Father died, Pluto lost its battle and the A.P.H.C won the battle... but the war has yet to begin. Although we are small in number, we have an empire backing us. You know, this gets me pretty mad. There is such a mess of what different people believe, it is very challenging to even discuss this type of topic. I have no idea where the facts are. Everyone seems to say different things. Personally, I think FOR SURE Pluto should be a planet. Their only reason is a sh*ty one, its like they just made it up to kick Pluto out. Some one on another message board said that they could be doing this just to seem like theyre getting somewhere because nothing big has happened lately. I've also seen a very good point: If a planet needs to clear it's "neighborhood," and Pluto hasnt because its in Neptune's oribit, Neptune needs to go too! I honestly dont know what the scientists were thinking. If for no other reason, we should keep Pluto a planet just because its always been that way, we all love Pluto as a planet and its wrong to think about it as not. This whole thing has caused an uproar of people disagreeing. I'm quite angry that someday my children will be learning in school about the solar system and (s)he will not be taught that Pluto is a planet. Douglas, I think its a GREAT idea to have a petition, and I encourage you and anyone else to do so. I can't really help you with wording, but one thing is, make sure its going to make them look at it in a different view, rather than not anger them. Good luck. =)

That message was so cute, and true. Pluto has been around long before the astronomers at the IAU we're even born, long before their parents we're even born. Why is it that it can't be a planet. Just because it hasn't "cleared the neighborhood"??? It has "cleared the neighborhood" way before any of us were even thought of. So, to the IAU, bring Pluto back as a planet and add Sedna and Xena as planets!!!

Pluto is not cold at all. NASA never tells the general public that the asteroid belts act as photon capacitors in which all photons from 1 to 1 x 10^30 hertz get caught, redensified, then fired outwartd to the next 4 planets. After the Tiamat Belt, between Mars and Jupiter, the photons go to Jupiter, Saturn Uranus and Neptune then onto the Kuiper Belt. All the while Saturn, Neptune and Uranus are enjoying very similar climates to that of the Earth. Winters, summers, autums and springs, once at the Kuiper Belt the capacitor effect happens again before going onto Pluto, Nibiru, Y & Z. Considering none of the residents of Pluto have been represented to speak on behalf of their planet I would hardly consider the rantings of looney scientists on Earth that don't even acknowledge Nibiru despite its discovery in 1983 to be worth any merit.
